5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product --- But Why the Confusing Product Differences Pampers? (Read for explanation on Dry-Max vs. Non-Dry Max), October 21, 2011

Most hospitals I know of will use these Pampers Swaddlers diapers for babies born in the hospital. I am sure many of you are buying these because it was what your baby first used at the hospital.

I have been ordering these exact diapers (either from sellers Trend marketing or Planet Stuff, both "fulfilled by Amazon") for about a month now for my newborn (born 6lbs 7oz). They fit her great and we have not had any leaks or blowouts (knock on wood). They are soft, seemingly comfortable for her, and I do not believe that it irritates her skin.

Here comes the tricky part.

As you may or may not know, Pampers has something called "DRY MAX" that is added to some diapers to make them more absorbent. These extra substances may or may not irritate your baby's skin. Search online and you will find that many people have complained about having DRY MAX in the diapers and it giving their baby a rash.

To convolute things even more, go to a local store that... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Hospital Approved vs Regular Swaddlers Newborn, December 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Pampers Swaddlers Newborn 240 Diapers (12 packs of 20) (Health and Beauty)
I've had issues with two suppliers regarding these diapers. Here's my advise to anyone needing/wanting to purchase the swaddler newborn "hospital approved" diapers.

Here's the scoop: Suppliers are advertising the "hospital approved" diapers, these have a + in the middle of a circle on the package. These diapers are the ones used in hospitals and are basically the same as sensitive diapers, except you are not paying the extra .15 per diaper, you pay the same as the other swaddlers for newborns. Now, the catch is the UPC, which the suppliers are not paying attention to. The UPC is 30374X on the hospital grade and on the others is is: 30374. Now, from what a supplier told me, the manufacturer (pampers) is apparently no longer selling hospital grade to the public, which means that the suppliers who have always had these x diapers, will no longer carry them, and they are still advertising the "hospital grade", they are the regular ones.

This has made it so that... Read more

Pampers have been the only diaper that never leaked with our baby. However, I've been advised by our friends that Costco's Kirkland brand is equally superior, and MUCH cheaper, and have been using them for about one year now. I actually think that they are manufactured by the same company.

Wonderful product! Tickles the nerdy relative's sense of humor while it builds vocabulary for later discussion and dissertation! Lamination lends itself to those 'sticky' debates!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these ABCs!, August 31, 2010
This review is from: Nerdy Baby ABC Flashcards for Very Young Scientists (Baby Product)
I am a physics teacher, and I plan to hang these in my classroom. I also bought a few extra sets for future presents, or future children! They're so clever and beautifully illustrated. My favorite is P is for Positive Correlation.

5.0 out of 5 stars These cards are just so cute!, November 13, 2010
This review is from: Nerdy Baby ABC Flashcards for Very Young Scientists (Baby Product)
I purchased these on etsy, not on amazon. These cards are a very good size, sturdy, and highly glossy. I don't have children but I just had to buy these because they are SO cute. Maybe someone I know will have a nerd-tastic child and I can give these as a gift one day.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for the price, December 26, 2007

After returning a much more expensive product with all of the bells and whistles and a similar product by Evenflo, I did a lot of research on which playard would be best for us. We had no use for the changing tables attached to many of them, and wanted one that would allow us to pack the bassinet into the carry bag for travel. Many of them do not allow you to do this. This one is serving us quite well. It is easy to put up and take down--much easier than the Evenflo or Baby Trend ones. The bassinet just snaps on the sides and doesn't require a lot of metal bars, like others do. There are also buttons on each side to release them for folding, which I find easier than the things you have to push from underneath and can't even see. I would only go with Graco. Also, the padding is a bit softer than these other brands. It's still not really comfortable for our baby, but I just put a blanket between the pad and the sheet, and he seems to sleep fine. This is where I take off a star... Read more

Three pack and plays from different companies. This one is by FAR the better one. Bonus: It cost the least. Pros: easy to setup, easy to pack up, very sturdy, fairly light and seemingly the most comfortable. Cons: I haven't found one in 21 months despite my daughters hard work to find a flaw.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rave review for Graco Pack N Play - Our 3rd one, November 14, 2007

These Graco Pack N Plays are great. We just bought our 2nd and 3rd ones as grandparents. This newer model is much easier to set up and much easier to take apart with the big release buttons on each of the 4 sides. Don't tell the younger generation but these are very much like the playpens of years ago ... yes, I know ... playpens are out these days as this generation of parents wants to give their kids freedom to move around and go where they want :-) Back to the product: the value for the price is outstanding. These Pack N Plays seem to last forever. Graco Pack N Play with Bassinet The write up ought to say that sheet is no longer included.
