We tried switching to our hard plastic baby bathtub when he was too big for the sink and he HATED it. Now, he is five months old, and I just use the safer bather in my big bathtub, and he splashes his feet and loves playing in the bath. This one is great because you can fill the tub first and the bather holds warm water in. We could use this with the baby bathtub, but it would be more trouble than it's worth. This just hangs up to dry when finished, and ready for the next bath. No dragging a big baby tub in and out of the closet. I had purchased a baby tub when my daughter was born, but she slid all around in the slippery tub. We had to wait for daddy to get home to give her a bath because it required two hands to keep her upright. I pulled this bath pillow from the closet and put it to use. It fit in my kitchen sink and cushioned my little one perfectly. I could now easily bathe her myself. She is almost 5 months old now, and we use it in the tub. The pad absorbs enough water to weight it down safely.
