Although the only downside is that he carries it around and gets food and grime all over it. One cycle and poof good as new, but there is no easy way to remove the barking voice box in the middle, There is a small seam on the dogs belly that seems that it was intended for adding the mechanism that could be used to remove it before you wash again, but like i said its not an easy task.
